I have been conducting cooking workshops and invite anyone of you who want to learn cooking especially local food. Last week I had 3 participants who joined me in learning nyonya cooking, hands on, of course.
They took away recipes on the following
Nyonya Chicken Curry,
Pineapple & cucumber kerabu and
Onde Onde.
But infact I shared how rempah is made, how versatile the rempah can be used for so many recipes. The kerabu was a winner too and again I shared many recipes on making various salads for different menus.
We had fun during the Onde onde making as some were big balls and some with lots of filling. But nevertheless everything was so delicious that we cleared up all the food.
I was totally awed at the feedback that I got from all of them and they want to learn more dishes as well.
After cooking, we sat down to enjoy the food that we cooked.
They left happily bearing door gifts and more food to savour at home.
I really do appreciate your valuable feedback and did have great pleasure in imparting my tips and techniques to them.. And I know they will be cooking more!
